CVIU is accredited by ABHES, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for healthcare colleges. Additionally, CVIU is licensed by the Alabama Department of Education. Its programs, curriculum, and facilities have been thoroughly reviewed to ensure adherence to high educational standards.

CVIU students must take a certification exam (registry) as a graduation requirement through one of the following credentialing associations:

  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
