Is the tuition the same for out of state students? Yes, regardless of your residence or home the tuition is the same.

Does CVIU offer financial student aid? CVIU offers Federal Financial Student Aid (Pell Grants and Stafford Loans). Contact Michelle Paustian Good for more information concerning financial aid.

Is CVIU approved for VA Education Benefits? CVIU is approved for VA Education Benefits and eligible for Post 911 benefits.

Is CVIU accredited? CVIU is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau for Health Education Schools (www.abhes.org). CVIU is programmatically accredited for the cardiac and vascular one-year curricula by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org).

Do I need a college degree to enroll? No, if you do not have a college degree you need to have earned at least 45 college credits.

Am I a certified ultrasound sonographer when I graduate? Schools are not allowed to give the certification exam for ultrasound.As part of the graduation requirements, students are required to take the certification exam, the Registry with either ARDMS or CCI. Students are required to take the Registry but not pass it to graduate. Preparation for the Registry is part of the curriculum at CVIU.
